I'm Carol J. Crain, a licensed psychological technician (Alabama Board of Examiners in Psychology) and certified special educator (Alabama Department of Education) with a life-long passion for psychology, education, and mental health. I am dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals, families, organizations, and schools through my extensive experience and knowledge in these interconnected fields. I am qualified to conduct your independent educational evaluation (IEE).
Credentials
I hold both a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology & Master of Arts in Teaching, and have enjoyed a wonderful career in each field. This unique combination of qualifications allows me to offer a holistic and comprehensive approach to addressing your needs. I am a member of the American Psychological Association and a licensee of the Alabama Board of Examiners in Psychology.
Versatile Experience
Over the years, I have maintained a dual-career approach in education and mental health, including serving as a psychotherapist, college instructor, college testing coordinator, and lead secondary special educator. This multifaceted background has provided me with valuable insights into the complexities of human development and learning, making me a well-rounded professional in the field. My experience as a practitioner and system-wide team leader in providing IEPs for a diverse student populations serves my clients well. With a long, fulfilling career in Alabama, I'm proud to be a practitioner who has helped many implement their testing results for improved outcomes.
